- Steel, fibreglass, crystacal lamina, pigments
- 230 x 90 x 70cm
First shown at The Pumphouse Gallery in Battersea Park, The Paradise Syndrome celebrates the eponymous Star Trek episode (1968) which features an ‘asteroid deflecting obelisk’ created to defend an alien world in a distant galaxy. The symbols plasma-cut in the chromed steel of the sculpture refer to the alien writing on the sides of the obelisk.
